Prajwal Revanna
A lookout circular has been issued against Prajwal Revanna, leader of Janata Dal Secular and MP from Hassan Lok Sabha seat of Karnataka. Karnataka Home Minister Dr. G Parameshwara said on Thursday that a lookout circular has been issued to arrest Prajwal Revanna, who is facing allegations of sexual harassment of women. Prajwal is currently abroad. For this reason, seven more days have been demanded to appear before the Special Investigation Team (SIT). On this he said that there is no provision to give more than 24 hours. SIT is investigating the case.
The minister said, “This lookout notice was issued immediately after it was learned that Prajwal Revanna has gone abroad. All ports and airports have been informed about this.” Prajwal Revanna is the grandson of former Prime Minister and JD(S) patron HD Deve Gowda and in recent days, some video clips allegedly related to the MP started circulating in Hassan Lok Sabha. Voting for this seat was held on April 26.
SIT taking legal opinion
Home Minister Parameshwara said, “SIT members are taking legal opinion regarding giving time to the accused. The SIT will take steps to arrest him, as there is no provision to give more than 24 hours. Earlier, a woman had filed a police complaint against Prajwal and his father for sexual harassment. He said that another victim has filed a complaint against Prajwal. The minister said, “The statement of the victim has been recorded. Meanwhile, another woman has filed a complaint, about which I cannot give information.”
