New Delhi. Lucknow Supergiants (LSG) fast bowler Shivam Mavi is out of the current season of the Indian Premier League. This is a big blow for LSG. Shivam Mavi not only has the power to win matches with excellent bowling, but also bats well. The reason for his absence is a rib injury. Has played 6 T20 matches for India.
25 year old Shivam Mavi played his last match in August last year. Shivam has been out since then due to a rib injury. Despite all efforts, he is not able to get fit. For this reason he had to be out of IPL 2024 also. Lucknow Supergiants had bought Shivam Mavi for Rs 6.4 crore in the IPL auction held in December 2023.

Shivam Mavi plays domestic cricket for Uttar Pradesh. Due to injury, he could not play any tournament including Ranji Trophy in the 2023-24 season. Despite this information, Lucknow included him in their team by bidding a huge amount. But this decision has proved costly for him. However, he took part in the training camp for Lucknow Supergiants before IPL 2024.
Lucknow Supergiants bought Shivam Mavi in the team to replace Avesh Khan. LSG had traded Avesh Khan to Rajasthan Royals. Due to this, he had a vacancy for a bowler. Avesh Khan is now playing for RR and is performing well.
