State President Madan Rathore has issued a statement after the letter of Khivansar MLA Revantram Danga went viral. He said that this letter has been leaked from an officer’s chamber, which has been investigated. Rathore also clarified that Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar has no role in this matter.
According to the information received, BJP MLA Revantram Danga wrote a letter to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma on 30 January, in which he expressed dissatisfaction over the appointments of officers in his constituency Khivansar. This letter leaked after being uploaded on the contact portal, which created a new political controversy.
Danga wrote in the letter that despite having a BJP government in his constituency, officers have been appointed as contrary to his recommendations. He alleged that a conspiracy is being hatched to weaken the BJP by deploying the National Democratic Party -backed officials in Khivansar. He also described not the removal of Assistant Accountant from Panchayat Samiti Mundwa as a conspiracy against him.
After this letter went viral, BJP State Vice President Dr. Jyoti Mirdha said that it is the right of any MLA to write a demand letter to the Chief Minister, but it is unfair to make it public. He indirectly accused Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar of leaking a letter, although he did not name anyone. Mirdha said that the matter is being investigated and information has been given to Chief Minister and state in -charge Radha Mohan Aggarwal.
Meanwhile, Health Minister Gajendra Singh Khivansar denied the allegations, saying, “I am not here to do such things. I have the responsibilities of the ministerial position and it is not time to do such things. Allegations without evidence reflects a very descent mentality.” Minister in -charge of Nagaur district Kanhaiyalal Chaudhary said in this regard that the government is taking action at its level regarding the letter going viral. When he was asked about the questions asked about his department, he said, “Whatever decisions will be taken in my department, I will take it.”
Amidst all this, Dhananjay Singh, son of Medical Minister of Rajasthan Government Gajendra Singh Khivansar, reacted on social media and tweeted, “Think before falling, if I fall, I will become an issue. I am walking alone now, if you stop, I will become a convoy.
According to sources, there has been dissatisfaction among the native BJP workers since former Nagaur MP Dr. Jyoti Mirdha left Congress and joined BJP. There has been an increase in the party after the BJP’s defeat on Nagaur seat and the defeat of Hanuman Beniwal in the Lok Sabha elections. In such a situation, the issue of Danga’s letter leaking has become a new challenge for the BJP. While state president Madan Rathore has tried to calm this dispute, the discussion of factionalism in the BJP has also intensified. It remains to be seen how the party handles the matter.
