Tikamgarh: A medical officer working in the health department of Madhya Pradesh government allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in Tikamgarh district on Saturday. Police has given this information. Local police station in-charge Arvind Singh Dangi said that Dr. Suresh Sharma (60) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed rifle at his official residence in Jatara town.
What did the police say?
The police officer said that at the time of this incident the doctor’s wife, who is a government teacher, had gone to work. The police officer said that why the doctor took this step is not yet known. District Chief Medical and Health Officer Shobharam Roshan said that Sharma was posted at Jatara Health Center for the last 15 years. He said the couple had no children. He said that investigation is being done in the matter.
As soon as people got information about this incident, a crowd gathered outside the doctor’s house. The doctor’s staff also reached the spot. Police say that the family members are being interrogated and something can be said only after investigation. The body has been sent for post-mortem. (input language)
