Senior BJP leader Narendra Modi is going to take oath as Prime Minister for the third time. A grand swearing-in ceremony has been organized at Rashtrapati Bhavan. Leaders of 7 countries are going to witness this ceremony. About 10,000 people from all over the country have reached Rashtrapati Bhavan to attend this ceremony.
After Narendra Modi, the leaders of his cabinet will be sworn in. The eyes of the whole country are currently on the oath ceremony. Former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan from Madhya Pradesh, Guna MP Jyotiraditya Scindia, Dr. Virendra Kumar Khatik, Savitri Thakur and Durgadas Uikey are included. The Bharatiya Janata Party has won all 29 seats in Madhya Pradesh.
Bilaspur MP from Chhattisgarh, Tokhan Sahu has been called to Delhi to join the Union Cabinet.
The swearing-in ceremony began at exactly 7.20 pm. President Draupadi Murmu first administered the oath of office to Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister. After Narendra Modi, Rajnath Singh was the first to be sworn in as a cabinet minister. After Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah took the oath with God as the witness.
Nitin Jairam Gadkari, MP from Nagpur for three consecutive terms, took the oath of true faith in the Constitution of India. Then JP Nadda took the oath. After Nadda, Shivraj Singh Chauhan, MP from Vidisha, took oath as a cabinet minister. Shivraj Singh Chauhan has become a Union Minister for the first time.
Next, Rajya Sabha MPs from Karnataka Nirmala Sitharaman and Subrahmanyam Jaishankar took oath. Former Haryana Chief Minister and Karnal MP Manohar Lal and ally JDS (Janata Dal-S)’s HD Kumaraswamy took oath. Kumaraswamy has been the Chief Minister of Karnataka twice. Two MPs have won from Janata Dal-S. After Kumaraswamy, three-time Rajya Sabha MP and Lok Sabha MP from Mumbai North Lok Sabha seat Piyush Goyal took oath.
Shivraj Singh Chauhan became Union Minister for the first time
BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chauhan won the Vidisha Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh for the sixth time by a record margin of 8.21 lakh votes. Former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Shivraj Singh Chauhan, popularly known as ‘Mamaji’, has been liked not only by his friends but also by his opponents due to his humble and friendly nature and he is among the few leaders in the Bharatiya Janata Party who have the administrative skills to run such a large state for a long time.
It is a coincidence that the Bharatiya Janata Party fielded him from Vidisha parliamentary constituency in this general election, which he had represented not once or twice but five times before. Before becoming the Chief Minister, he was called ‘Paav-Paav Wale Bhaiya’ because he used to walk on foot in his Lok Sabha constituency Vidisha.
In the 2023 assembly elections of Madhya Pradesh, this 64-year-old leader defeated the anti-incumbency wave with the help of a game-changing scheme like ‘Laadli Behna’. Born in a farmer family, Chouhan has created history by becoming the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the longest time, i.e. seventeen and a quarter years. He became the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh for the first time on 29 November 2005.
Jyotiraditya Scindia took oath
He is an MP from Guna seat of Madhya Pradesh. He left Congress in 2020 and joined BJP. He also became a minister in the Modi cabinet in 2021. Jyotiraditya Scindia has become an MP for the 5th time. He was the Minister of Civil Aviation.
L. Murugan became State Minister
Rajya Sabha MP from Madhya Pradesh quota Dr. L. Murugan was also sworn in as Union Minister of State.
Minister of State Durga Das Uikey
He is an MP from Betul Lok Sabha seat of Madhya Pradesh. He was also elected MP in 2019. He has taken oath as Union Minister of State for the first time.
Savitri Thakur became state minister
She is the vice president of BJP Kisan Morcha. She has been elected as MP from Dhar Lok Sabha seat. She was also elected as MP in 2014.
Tokhan Sahu Union Minister of State from Chhattisgarh
He is an MP from Bilaspur in Chhattisgarh. Sahu has completed his journey from Gram Panch to MP. He has also been an MLA from Lormi.
Annapurna Devi from Jharkhand took oath as cabinet minister
She has won from the Koderma seat of Jharkhand. She has been the Union Minister of State for Education in the previous government. She has also been an MLA four times in Jharkhand and Bihar.
