Magadh division's high -level review meeting concluded for the preparations for Bihar Assembly Elections 2025

The exercise at the administrative level has intensified at the preparations for the upcoming Bihar Assembly General Election 2025. In this sequence, a high -level review meeting of Magadh Division was organized today, which was chaired by Bihar Chief Secretary Amrit Lal Meena. The meeting was concluded in the meeting room of the old secretariat in Patna through video conferencing.

The main objective of the meeting was to review the arrangements related to the election and give necessary instructions to the responsible officials in time, so that the upcoming assembly elections could be completed in a fair, peaceful and transparent manner.

Discussion on all aspects

The Chief Secretary made intensive review on important issues such as revision of voter list, physical system of polling stations, security of EVM-VVPAT, arrangements at booth level and special arrangements for disabled and senior citizens.

He clarified that negligence will not be tolerated at any level in compliance with the instructions of the Election Commission and all preparations should be completed within the deadline.

Instructions to officials:

Purification of voter list should be done with complete transparency and promptness.

Booth level officers (BLOS) should be trained and ensured contact to every house.

Provision of basic facilities like drinking water, toilets, electricity and ramps etc. should be ensured in all polling stations.

The district administration should already identify possible sensitive areas regarding security arrangements.

Strong security arrangements should be made to protect EVMs and VVPAT machines.

Participation of Divisional Commissioner and District Magistrates

Magadha Division Commissioner, DIG, District Magistrate, SP, Election Officer and senior officials of all the concerned departments also attended the meeting. All the officers were asked to apprise the Chief Secretary of the updated situation of preparations in their respective districts.

The Chief Secretary reiterated that the election is a festival of democracy, so it is the responsibility of the administration to conduct it in a peaceful, fair and fear -free environment.
