Mumbai With the loss of power in Maharashtra, voice has started rising against Shiv Sena in Mahavikas Aghadi too. NCP chief Sharad Pawar, who played a big role in forming the Aghadi government, has targeted Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Yadav. He targeted this on the issue of the decision to rename Aurangabad and Osmanabad. Let us inform that before resigning from the post of CM, Uddhav Thackeray had decided to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar and Osmanabad to Dharashiv in the cabinet meeting. Till now Pawar had kept silent on this, but now he is giving a statement against it.
Maharashtra | It was not part of Maha Vikas Aghadi’s common minimum programme. I came to know only after the decision was taken (by CM Uddhav Thackeray): NCP chief Sharad Pawar on renaming Aurangabad and Osmanabad (10.07) pic.twitter.com/ibN3rsl63B

Sharad Pawar told the media that changing the names of Aurangabad and Osmanabad was not in the Common Minimum Program of Mahavikas Aghadi. Pawar said that when CM Uddhav Thackeray announced the change of name, only then he also came to know about it. It is clear from Pawar’s statement that in the last days of the Aghadi government, the relationship between Shiv Sena and NCP was not smooth. Perhaps Uddhav Thackeray was also taking all the decisions as CM, whose information was not being known to the ally NCP or Congress.
Let us tell you that the desire to change the name of Aurangabad to Sambhajinagar and Osmanabad to Dharshiv was the founder of Shiv Sena and Balasaheb Thackeray, one of the tallest Hindutva leaders of the country. This work could not be done during his life. This time before resigning from the post of CM, Uddhav Thackeray had announced to change the name of both the cities in his last cabinet meeting. However, the final approval to change the name is given by the central government. Let us tell you that in Aurangabad there is the tomb of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
