Mumbai The controversy related to loudspeakers in Maharashtra is not taking its name to end. Now Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) has announced to play Hanuman Chalisa by installing loudspeakers outside Shiv Sena Bhavan on the occasion of Ram Navami. According to the information shared by MNS, the day of Ram Navami has been chosen for the recitation of Hanuman Chalisa. The workers have also installed loudspeakers in front of the Shiv Sena headquarters. In such a situation, in view of the situation of confrontation, the deployment of police forces has been increased on the spot.
Raj Thackeray had made this demand
Significantly, Raj Thackeray had recently demanded removal of loudspeakers from mosques in Maharashtra. Addressing his supporters at a rally in Mumbai’s Shivaji Park, Raj Thackeray had said, “Why are loudspeakers played at such a high volume in mosques? If this is not stopped, Hanuman Chalisa speakers will start playing outside the mosques. I am not against prayer or any particular religion. I am proud of my religion.”

Shiv Sena MP Sanjay Raut had targeted Raj Thackeray for asking the government to remove loudspeakers from mosques on the issue of azaan from loudspeakers. He had said that the Maharashtra government already has a rule that determines the decibel level of azaan through loudspeakers. “Maharashtra is the state where the law still prevails,” he said. The home minister of the state will do everything according to the law and the law of the land prevails in Maharashtra. Significantly, the fire of the ongoing controversy over Azaan in Maharashtra has reached Karnataka. Taking cognizance of this, the Shiv Sena MP said that the Maharashtra Home Ministry has a guideline on what should be the decibel level during Azan.
