Mumbai Azaan on loudspeakers in mosques and recitation of Hanuman Chalisa on loudspeakers in front of him. This issue is stuck in the neck of the Uddhav Thackeray government of Maharashtra. After this the Uddhav Thackeray government issued a decree that Hanuman Chalisa cannot be recited on loudspeakers within a distance of 100 meters from mosques. This further escalated the controversy. Then the arrest of MLA Ravi Rana and his wife Navneet Rana on the same issue added to the controversy. Uddhav Thackeray’s government came under attack. After this, now CM Uddhav has made preparations to find a middle way to resolve the issue. Under this, an all-party meeting has been called today.
All parties including BJP will be involved in this meeting, but Maharashtra Navnirman Sena MNS chief Raj Thackeray will not come. There is news of the arrival of former CM Devendra Fadnavis from BJP and Nandgaonkar and Sandeep Deshpande from MNS side. Apart from this, representatives of smaller parties including leaders of constituent parties of Mahavikas Aghadi MVA government will also attend the meeting. The special thing is that the issue of loudspeaker has been started by Raj Thackeray. Addressing his supporters on the festival of Gudi Padwa, he had said that loudspeakers should be removed from all mosques in Maharashtra.
Raj Thackeray had fixed the date of May 3 for this. He had said that if the Uddhav government did not remove the loudspeakers from the mosques by this deadline, then the people of his party would also read Hanuman Chalisa by putting loudspeakers in front of the mosques. Raj Thackeray gave another statement a few days after this statement and asked all the Hindus of the country to unite. He again said that if the government does not remove loudspeakers from mosques, then he himself will do so. Meanwhile, Navneet Rana and Ravi Rana announce to read Hanuman Chalisa in front of Matoshree at Uddhav’s house. After which both of them were arrested by the police of Khar police station in Mumbai and sent to jail.
