Mumbai The war of Shiv Sena and BJP in Maharashtra brings new issues to the fore every day. In this episode, now the issue of demolition of Babri Masjid of Ayodhya has come to the fore. BJP leader and former CM Devendra Fadnavis has launched a scathing attack on Shiv Sena, claiming that when the Babri Masjid was demolished in Ayodhya, no Shiv Sena leader was present there. Let us tell you that Shiv Sena has been claiming till now that it was its workers who demolished the Babri Masjid and BJP did not say anything on this claim till now. At a rally in Mumbai on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, Fadnavis claimed that Shiv Sena has nothing to do with the Babri demolition. He also said that he had to stay in Badaun Jail when he went for Karseva.
Actually, Maharashtra CM and Shiv Sena supremo Uddhav Thackeray had raised the question in the past that when some part of Babri Masjid was demolished in 1990, where were the BJP leaders? On this, Fadnavis has given a strong reply to Uddhav. Fadnavis said that he is asking where were we when Babri was demolished. They claim that they demolished Babri, but when asked to remove loudspeakers from mosques, they got scared.
Devendra turned to the rally and raised the question that when the structure was demolished, where were the Shiv Sena leaders at that time? Fadnavis said that I can proudly say that I was there when Babri was demolished. He said that I did kar seva for Ram temple and also spent 18 days in jail for that. Which Maharashtra leader went to Ayodhya when the mosque was demolished, did anyone go? No, no Shiv Sena leader was present there. After the demolition of Babri, Balasaheb Thackeray, the then chief of Shiv Sena had claimed that it was Shiv Sainiks who demolished the mosque. Thackeray had been making this claim throughout his life.
