Mumbai For the last 10 years, the issue of Hindutva has gained momentum in India. Especially after the Supreme Court’s decision to build a Ram temple in Ayodhya, the spirit of Hindutva has gained momentum, but still no one had thought that the opposition to this Hindutva in India would become the reason for the fall of which government. But it happened. The government fell for the first time in India on the issue of Hindutva and three parties Shiv Sena, Congress and NCP lost power in Maharashtra. The special thing is that among these three parties running the government, Shiv Sena was once another name for intense and fierce Hindutva, but the temptation of power forced its chief Uddhav Thackeray to move away from his old line and take the support of secular parties. . Yet ultimately he had to lose his hands from the government because of Hindutva.
The association between BJP and Shiv Sena for more than 25 years was due to this Hindutva. Balasaheb Thackeray, who was the supremo of Shiv Sena, was known to the country as well as abroad due to his fierce Hindutva and saffron color. Balasaheb had also claimed that on 6 December 1992, the structure of Babri Masjid in Ayodhya was destroyed by Shiv Sainiks. As long as Balasaheb was alive, Shiv Sena remained with BJP. Then Balasaheb passed away. After this, Uddhav took over the command of Shiv Sena and then after the assembly elections in 2019, Uddhav was so determined with BJP about the CM’s chair that he renounced Hindutva and became secular and joined hands with Shiv Sena’s staunch opponent Congress and NCP. . Even when two sadhus were lynched in Palghar, Uddhav Thackeray did not even strongly oppose it.
Still, perhaps there was a feeling inside the Shiv Sena that the Shiv Sena, which was identified because of Hindutva, should not have given up its old cloak. In the result, when Rajya Sabha and Legislative Council elections were held in the past, Shiv Sena MLAs, giving a jolt to Uddhav, decided the victory of its extra candidates by cross-voting in favor of BJP. Then Uddhav expressed displeasure over this, then Eknath Shinde, who was close to him, first revolted saying about Hindutva and then added about 50 MLAs including 39 Shiv Sena MLAs with him on this issue. With this, Hindutva finally sacrificed Uddhav Sarkar in 9 days.
