Dindori, Naidunia Rep. Mahashivratri festival is being celebrated with faith and tradition across the district on Tuesday. Devotees thronged the temples of Lord Shiva from morning till late evening. In the district headquarters, people took a dip of faith at Dam Ghat, Pul Ghat, Shani Ghat, Tamarind Kuti Ghat, Jogitikariya Ghat, Laxman Mandwa Ramghat of Narmada river and worshiped Lord Shiva according to the law. After this people also donated. There were shops of other items including toys in Dam Ghat, in which people were seen buying. Devotees also worshiped Lord Shiva by bathing in Narmada river at Malpur Kanhaiya Sangam of Shahpura, Kosamghat in Mehndwani, Majhiyakhar of Bajag, Seoni Sangam near Gorakhpur in Karanjia, including district headquarters. Apart from this, people worshiped Lord Shiva by law in areas including Samnapur, Devnala of Amarpur, Kisalpuri, Sakka, Vikrampur. People also enjoyed boating at Dam Ghat of the district headquarters. In view of security at Narmada Ghats, revenue staff was also deployed along with the police. The officers also took stock of the security arrangements by walking around. On this occasion people also performed Abhishek Poojan in their homes. The whole district is looking Shivamay since morning.
Crowd of devotees gathered in Kukramath: Devotees also started reaching the ancient loan Mukteshwar temple located in village Kukramath of Samnapur block of the district. Devotees worship Lord Shiva with the rituals and worship him. Apart from the district, a large number of people from the surrounding areas also reached the loan Mukteshwar temple. In some places, Bhandaras were also organized by the devotees. Police force was also present here from the point of view of security. Devotees from different areas of the district reached the Rinmukteshwar temple with family in auto, taxi, four wheeler, two wheeler and worshiped Lord Shiva according to the law.
