Mahashivratri Mahakal Darshan: Ujjain (representative of the new world). Devotees going to Ujjain to visit Baba Mahakal on Mahashivratri will be allowed to enter the temple from 5:30 am on Tuesday, which will continue till 11 pm on Wednesday the next day. Darshan arrangements have been made in such a way that Baba Mahakal can be seen within 45 minutes of waiting in line. 1200 police officers and jawans have been deployed here for security arrangements. Vehicle parking arrangements have been made at different places for the devotees coming from different sides in Ujjain city.

Vehicles coming from Indore, Dewas, Maksi, Agar Road will be parked at Harifatak intersection, near Mannat Garden, Jantar Mantar, Lalpul Square, Narsingh Ghat Road and Karkaraj Mandir.
Vehicles coming from Badnagar, Nagda will be parked at Kartik Mela Ground. From where the devotees will reach Mahakal temple on foot via e-rickshaw via Narsingh Ghat Bridge.
– Priests, administrative officers, duty staff and media persons will keep their vehicles from Gudri intersection on behalf of the twenty-four pillars in the Pal parking of Danigate, Ramanuj Kot, Harsiddhi. From there you will reach Mahakal temple on foot from near Bada Ganesh temple.
Vehicles of VIP people will park their vehicles near Mahakal outpost near Bharat Mata temple from the wall of Mahakal forest via Interpretation intersection from Harifatak bridge.
1200 police officers and jawans deployed in security
The security arrangements of Mahakal temple have been tightened on the occasion of Mahashivratri festival. 1200 police officers and jawans have been deployed for the security of the temple premises and surrounding places. Apart from this, CCTV cameras will also be monitored. Different places have been earmarked for parking the vehicles of devotees coming from nearby cities. According to SP Satyendra Shukla, four ASP level officers have been deployed for the security of the temple and the surrounding area. Apart from this, the duty of 25 DSP, 40 SHO, 70 SI, 75 ASI has been fixed. The number of head constable, constable, women police is one thousand.
Apart from this, the help of home guards and private voluntary organizations is also being taken. Apart from the cameras of the temple committee installed in the Mahakal temple complex, CCTV cameras are also being installed by the police from Mahakal to Harsiddhi Marg, Narsingh Ghat, Chardham Temple, Triveni Museum and Harsiddhi ki Pal. They will be monitored from the control room. Apart from this, through the cameras installed under Smart City, the police control room will also keep an eye on the crowd and the parking of vehicles.
More than 30 thousand devotees visited on Sunday
There was an influx of faith in the Jyotirlinga Mahakal temple on Sunday before Mahashivratri. More than 30 thousand devotees who came from all over the country had darshan of Lord Mahakal. The process of darshan which started from 6 in the morning continued till the Shayan Aarti at 10.30 in the night. After the end of Corona ban, devotees from all over the country have started reaching Ujjain to have darshan of Lord Mahakal.
Ban on drone cameras within a radius of 500 meters
ADM Santosh Tagore on Sunday banned the flying of drone cameras within a radius of 500 meters around the Mahakal temple. A case will be registered for flying a drone without permission. ADM Tagore said that in view of the security of the temple, a ban has been imposed to fly drones in the surrounding 500 meters area. SP Satyendra Kumar Shukla will give permission for the operation of the drone camera after first taking the consent of the CSP. A case will be registered under section 188 for violation of the order.
