Mahashivratri Omkareshwar Mandir: Khandwa. On Tuesday, the process of darshan of Lord Bholenath in Shiva’s city of Omkareshwar has started from 4 am. First of all, sages and mahants had darshan of God. Due to the increase in the crowd, queues started forming in the temple premises. Devotee Darshan Administration has set a target of providing darshan to one lakh devotees in 12 to 14 hours. Due to this, devotees are being taken out in a minute in the sanctum sanctorum. The process of darshan which started on Tuesday morning will continue throughout Wednesday night. In the evening on Mahashivratri, Deepotsav will be celebrated by lighting 11000 lamps in the temple premises. At the same time, cultural programs and Bhajan Sandhya will be organized by the Culture Department in the bus stand area. Deepotsav will be organized in the temple premises on the wedding bell of Lord Shiva and Mother Parvati. The echo of Har Har Mahadev and Om Namah Shivaya has started in the pilgrimage city.
In order to control the crowd of devotees, the temple trust is sending the devotees coming from the new Jhula bridge to the sanctum sanctorum from the gate of Sukhdev Muni. At the same time, devotees coming from the old bridge are entering through the main silver gate. There is a lot of enthusiasm among the people due to the celebration of Mahaparva in Bhole’s court after two years due to Corona ban. Apart from the Omkareshwar and Mamleshwar temples, other ashrams of the pilgrimage city are being organized on a grand scale by monasteries and social organizations. Faryali Prasad is being distributed everywhere. Thousands of Rudrakshas are offered to Lord Omkareshwar on the eve of Mahashivratri. which are being distributed to the devotees. On Mahashivratra, special adornment of the Lord and a Mahabhog of 151 kg of peda will be done by the temple trust in the afternoon.
CS Solanki, CEO of Shri Ji Mandir Trust and Punasa SDM, said that arrangements have been made by directing necessary staff and pundits to ensure that the sanctum sanctorum does not stop for more than a minute.
Our target is to cut darshan from the sanctum sanctorum to 70 to 100 devotees in a minute. By the way, devotees do not have to wait much due to the presence of two queues. In view of the crowd on the Mahaparva, after 6 o’clock in the morning, offering water, flowers and bel leaves directly on the original form of the Lord has been banned. For this, a vessel is being collected outside the sanctum sanctorum itself.
On Mahashivratra, the courtyard of Lord Omkareshwar will be lit with the light of lamps. In the evening, 11 thousand lamps will be installed in the temple premises by the temple trust. Due to the crowd of thousands of people in the pilgrimage city, the communication system broke down since Tuesday morning, people had to face problems due to the glitch in the net system. Sadhus, saints arrived on the bandwagon
According to tradition, on Mahashivratri, first of all the saints worshiped and worshiped Lord Jyotirlinga. Mahamandaleshwar, Mahants, Sadhus and Pandits of Sant Mandal reached the temple in the form of procession in the city with drums and band-baaz after bathing in Narmadaji at five o’clock in the morning. The head priest of the temple, Pandit Ashish Dixit told that the temple premises and the sanctum sanctorum have been specially decorated with flowers. These flowers have come from Ratlam. There is enthusiasm among the devotees about the Mahaparva due to the removal of the Corona ban for two years. Two lakh devotees will have darshan in two days.
Ashok Mahajan, assistant executive officer of the temple trust, said that the temple staff and kotwars have been deployed to make arrangements. Barricading has been done at various places for crowd control. Along with the systematic parking of vehicles by the police, the entry of big vehicles has been stopped. In the evening, cultural programs and bhajans will be organized at the old bus stand. There will be dances and bhajans based on the glory of Shankar.
Jalabhishek of BholenathSadhus-saints, devotees performing Jalabhishek of Mamleshwar Mahadev situated on the south bank of Narmada in Omkareshwar. Be aware that since the Corona period, the Archaeological Department has banned the entry of Mamleshwar temple into the sanctum sanctorum. Due to this, the entry of common devotees into the sanctum sanctorum has been stopped for almost two years. In view of Mahashivratri, the Archaeological Department has given permission for worship for three days. From Monday to Wednesday, devotees will be able to worship and perform Jalabhishek by reaching the sanctum sanctorum here. On Mahashivratri, there is a crowd of devotees since morning.
