New Delhi. The whole country is upset about what happened to Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat in the Paris Olympics. Former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupendra Singh Hooda has said that if we had the majority, we would have sent Vinesh to the Rajya Sabha, this would have encouraged the players of the whole country. Now Vinesh’s uncle Mahavir Phogat, while responding to this statement of Hooda, accused him of doing politics. Mahavir Phogat also asked him why he did not send Geeta Phogat to the Rajya Sabha even though his government was in power at that time.

Mahavir Phogat, father of former Indian female wrestler Geeta Phogat, said that Geeta had also made many records, but then why did Hooda sahab not send her to Rajya Sabha? These are political stunts. At the same time, Haryana Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini has announced that Vinesh will be provided all the facilities that a player who wins a silver medal in the Olympics gets. Reacting to this, Mahavir Phogat said that this is a good initiative of the Chief Minister. He has accepted the fact that Vinesh has got a silver medal. This is a good step and I support it. I thank the Haryana government, if this ever happens with other athletes then it will encourage them.
