New Delhi. TMC MP Mahua Moitra, accused of taking money and gifts to ask questions in Parliament, is now in a new trouble. His old friend Jai Anant Dehadrai, who had complained to CBI in the cash for query case against Mahua Moitra, has now complained about the MP to Delhi Police. Advocate Jai Anant Dehadrai has complained against Mahua Moitra for unauthorized entry into his house, criminal intimidation and disturbing peace. Earlier, Jai Anant Dehadrai had complained to the Delhi Police Commissioner that Mahua Moitra had forcibly kept his dog Henry. Jai Anant Dehadrai has complained in Delhi’s Hauz Khas police station that TMC MP Mahua Moitra reached his house on 5 and 6 November.
Dehadrai alleges that Mahua reached his house and issued criminal threats to register a fake case. Dehadrai has said in the complaint that Mahua Moitra entered his house unauthorized. In his complaint given in the police station, lawyer Jai Anant Dehadrai has said that considering the past history of Mahua Moitra, the latest developments are a serious cause for concern. In the complaint given to the police, Dehadrai said that Mahua Moitra came to his residence and threatened and intimidated him and used his pet dog as an excuse. Regarding Mahua Moitra, Jai Anant Dehadrai says that the TMC MP had reached her house without inviting her. Dehadrai has demanded Delhi Police to register a case against Mahua and investigate and provide security to himself. On this complaint of Dehadrai, Delhi Police has said that it is looking into the matter. If Dehadrai’s complaint is found to be true, it could increase problems for the TMC MP.
It was Jai Anant Dehadrai who had complained to CBI against Mahua Moitra. A copy of the same complaint of cash for query was sent by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and then Birla asked the Ethics Committee of Parliament to investigate. Mahua Moitra has also been seriously accused of giving her Parliament user ID and password to businessman Darshan Hiranandani and getting him to write questions. Dehadrai has also been accused of taking money and expensive gifts from Hiranandani. Darshan Hiranandani has also confirmed the allegations made by Dehadrai by giving an affidavit. At the same time, Mahua Moitra says that she did take small gifts from Hiranandani, but did not take money. According to Moitra, even though questions were being written from Hiranandani’s office, she would forward them only after seeing them carefully.
