Under Operation Bhaika, the police took major action in Sayla police station area of Jalore district and seized illegal petroleum (bio diesel) filled in two tankers. Its estimated cost is around 80 lakh rupees. This action was taken under the direction of SP Gyanchand Yadav and the leadership of Thanadikari Surendra Singh Tandi.
The police received information from the informer that tankers filled with illegal petroleum products were standing near Madina Hotel and Teja’s Bari area. Taking immediate action on the information, the police team raided both the places on the Sayla-Sindhri highway. On examining the tanker standing in the first place, adulterated petroleum product was found in it, on which the motor and valve were also installed. During the inspection of the second tanker, meters and nozzle were found to be installed, which helped to fill illegal petroleum directly in the vehicle.
Both tankers have been confiscated as per rules. Investigation has been started against unknown accused in this case. The police is now engaged in connecting the links of this entire illegal business. This action of the police has caused panic among the people associated with illegal petroleum business in the area. Under Operation Bhai, such action is being taken continuously in the district, so that illegal activities can be effectively curbed.
