Chandigarh Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana instructed the officials to make full use of the budget set for all the schemes of the Agriculture Department so that the farmers can get their benefit. He also instructed to explore the possibilities of fisheries in the area by surveying the latest land.
Agriculture Minister was presiding over the meeting of officials of the Agriculture Department in Chandigarh. On this occasion, Raja Shekhar Wundru, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, and other senior officials were present.
Shyam Singh Rana also reviewed the preparations for the availability of fertilizer in view of the work being done in the area of soil conservation and the season of sowing of the upcoming crop and instructed the officials to take appropriate steps in this direction.
He spoke to the authorities in detail about the grant being given for crop seeds and instructed to provide good quality seeds to the farmers. He further said that under the Department of Agriculture, farmers should get the benefit of all the schemes run for the benefit of farmers, there will be no shortage of budget.
The Agriculture Minister, after taking information about the bean-affected land in the state, instructed the officials that this year the target has been set to make one lakh hectare land free, try to do more work than the target. He said that this year, Charkhi Dadri, Sirsa and Fatehabad districts should be completely free and increase activeness in this work in other districts as well.
Shyam Singh Rana also instructed the officials to encourage the panchayat for fisheries by building a pond as a model in the Panchayati-land of some villages. If positive results come, then this model can be encouraged for other farmers of the state, whose land is coming in the land and agriculture is not being encouraged. He also said that in which the fisheries in the landed land is not possible and the water is always stalled, then the plant of safeda can be planted in that area so that the water level can come at the right level.
The Agriculture Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini also have a vision to fix the sem-affected area and promote business like fisheries, this will also increase the income of farmers.
The Agriculture Minister talked to the officials about the preparations for fertilizer for the upcoming crop paddy, cotton etc. crops and instructed that there will be no shortage of fertilizer for the farmers, for this, keep preparations at their level.
The Agriculture Minister also reviewed the works like Soil Health Card, Pauli Management, Training given to farmers and said that the economy of the country and the state depends on agriculture, so the interests of farmers are among the priorities of the government.
