Coconut Chutney Recipe
Coconut chutney is consumed a lot in South India. This tasty chutney made from coconut is mostly served with dosa and idli. You will not need too many fancy ingredients to make coconut chutney. Believe me, the taste of this chutney made at home will be many times better than the coconut chutney available in restaurants.
First step- To make coconut chutney, you have to grate the coconut and take out about half a cup of coconut.
Second step- Now add some ginger, one spoon roasted peanuts, 4 garlic cloves, 2 chopped green chillies and salt along with the grated coconut in the mixer.
Third step- Now grind all these things thoroughly. After this, add 2 spoons of lemon juice and 4 spoons of water in the mixer and grind this paste once again.
Fourth step- If you do not like thick coconut chutney, then you can make it thin by mixing water in it.
Fifth step- After this, you have to heat oil in a pan and add 1/4 teaspoon mustard and 6 curry leaves to make tempering for coconut chutney.
Sixth step- Now pour this seasoning over the coconut chutney and mix it well.
You can serve this chutney with many dishes. But the real pleasure of eating coconut chutney comes with dosa or idli.
