Besan Ki Barfi Recipe

Gram flour barfi is an Indian sweet, which is liked by people of all classes from children to the elderly. Gram flour barfi is made from gram flour, sugar, ghee and milk. This barfi is very tasty to eat and easy to make. With the method mentioned by us, you can easily make gram flour sweet at home without syrup. So, let’s know the method of making gram flour barfi

Ingredients for making Besan Ki Barfi:

2 cups gram flour, half cup semolina, half cup ghee, half cup milk, one cup sugar, 2 teaspoons milk powder, pinch of cardamom powder, finely chopped almonds or pistachios

How to make Besan Ki Barfi?

  • First step: First of all, turn on the gas and place a pan. When the pan is hot, add half a cup of ghee. After heating the ghee, add 2 cups of gram flour and half a cup of semolina and fry it on medium flame for 10 minutes.

  • Second step: When the gram flour turns light golden, add 1 cup sugar and milk, 2 teaspoons milk powder to it and mix them well and fry for 5 minutes. Make sure that no lumps are formed. Now add 2 teaspoons ghee, cardamom powder and half a cup milk to it. Mix them well. Mix well and cook the mixture on medium flame until it thickens.

  • Step 3: In the last step, remove from the flame and let the mixture cool down. Pour this mixture into a barfi mould and flatten it. Sprinkle finely chopped almonds or pistachios on top. Your Besan Ki Barfi is ready! When the mixture cools down, cut it into barfi shapes and serve. You can make it on festivals or special occasions.
