Roasted Chickpea Barfi

Who doesn’t like sweet things… Whenever there is a craving for sweets, one feels like eating some sweets. But, eating too much sweets is not beneficial for health. Especially, sweets made in the shop should be consumed thoughtfully because most of them are made in palm oil. In such a situation, if you have a craving for sweets, then you can make healthy and tasty barfi at home from roasted gram. Now you must be wondering whether there is a sweet made of gram, then let us tell you that the taste of this sweet made of gram is very amazing. Also, the consumption of gram is also beneficial for health. So, let’s know how to make this granular sweet made of gram?

Ingredients for Roasted Chickpea Sweets:

Roasted gram – 350 grams, Ghee – 1 tablespoon, Milk – 1 liter, Powdered sugar – 250 grams, Ghee – 2 tablespoons, Cardamom powder, Almond and pistachio pieces

Roasted Chickpea Sweet Recipe:

  • Step 1: To make gram barfi, first of all grind the roasted gram coarsely with the help of a rolling pin to remove its peel and then separate the peel from the gram.

  • Step 2: Now, in the next step, put a tablespoon of ghee in a pan and when the ghee melts, add the roasted chickpeas to it. Now fry the chickpeas well on low flame until they turn golden.

  • Step 3: When the chickpeas are well roasted, add a cup of milk to it and roast it again on low flame. The chickpeas should be well cooked in the milk. Now turn off the gas.

  • Step 4: When the chickpeas cool down, put them in a mixer jar and add half a cup of milk to it. Now grind them well. After grinding, take out the mixture in a vessel. Now turn on the gas and place a pan, add a spoonful of ghee in it and then pour the chickpea mixture into it. Now add sugar powder to it and mix well and fry.

  • Step 5: In the last step, add cardamom powder. When the mixture is cooked well, turn off the gas. Now keep this mixture in a plate or tray to freeze and add almond and pistachio pieces on top. Keep it aside for 3 to 4 hours to freeze. Then cut it like barfi. In this way your wonderful chickpea sweet is ready to be eaten.
