Turmeric Breakfast Recipes
Be it breakfast or snacks, when you feel like eating something healthy, you can prepare and eat this green moong dal breakfast. Green moong dal is very good for the stomach. Being a peeled dal, it contains plenty of fiber which helps in keeping the stomach and digestion healthy. Green moong dal is also used for weight loss. People who are dieting can also eat this breakfast easily. This green moong breakfast is prepared like idli. Know what is this special recipe?
How to make a healthy green moong breakfast?
Soak 1 cup whole green moong dal overnight.
Take 10 garlic cloves, 3 finely chopped green chillies, 2 inch piece of ginger, 1 onion finely chopped, 1 carrot grated, 1 capsicum finely chopped and 1 tomato.
Now add turmeric, red chilli, coriander powder, cumin powder, salt and half teaspoon baking soda to the spices.
You need 1/4 cup water and 1 tbsp oil, curry leaves and Kashmiri red chillies for tempering.
For garnishing, white sesame seeds, green coriander and chaat masala powder are required.
Now wash the green gram, add green chillies, ginger and garlic in it and grind it in the mixer.
After this, mix all the finely chopped vegetables, spices and baking soda in the batter.
The batter should be as thick as Idli Dosa and water can be added as per the need.
Now apply ghee in the idli maker and keep putting the batter in its mould and steam it for 15 minutes.
When the cooker cools down, take out the prepared moong dal idli from it and prepare the tadka.
Pour the seasoning over the prepared moong dal idli and serve hot.
You can eat it with any chutney and tomato sauce. This is a healthy option for breakfast.
