Smartphone It has become a necessity for us. We can do many of our work through smartphones. From making online bill payments to phone recharge, UPI payments etc., we depend on our smartphones. Since the advent of smartphones and digital payment services, we do not need to go to the bank. We keep our banking apps on our phones and track our transactions etc. However, most smartphone users do not pay attention to some things, due to which they have to suffer huge losses.
To prevent increasing online scams and banking fraud, we can make some basic settings in our smartphone, due to which our personal data and banking details can be protected from theft. Come, let us know about these important settings of the smartphone…
Keep this in mind while setting up the phone
If you have just bought a new smartphone or are planning to buy one, do not install any bloatware on your phone while setting up the phone. Many brands provide pre-installed apps with their phones, which have access to everything from your phone’s microphone to gallery and camera. These third party apps can steal data from your phone. In such a situation, do not install them while setting up your phone. Even if you have installed them by mistake, uninstall them immediately.
Third Party Apps Not Allowed
Never install an app in your phone through any third party link or APK. By doing this your phone can get access to those apps. Google has launched a Play Protect service for its Android operating system, due to which you will be able to download only verified apps from the Play Store. To prevent third party apps from being installed on the phone, go to the phone’s settings and search for Install Unknown Apps. After this, make all the sources for installing apps not allowed.
