BJP worker murdered before polling begins in Thoubal
A BJP worker was killed in Manipur’s Thoubal on Saturday before polling began. The deceased has been identified as L Amuba Singh. According to the police, he had gone to the house of a Congress worker on Saturday morning and asked him not to campaign after the stipulated time. During this, an argument broke out between the two and the Congress worker opened fire, in which Singh died.

Bomb blast outside BJP leader’s house
A massive explosion took place outside the house of a former BJP leader in Manipur amid the second phase of polling. It is reported that the blast took place outside the house of Chaudhary Bijoy in Lamphel area of Imphal West district. However, there is no report of any casualty in this. The perpetrators of this incident have not been identified.
