New Delhi. Former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia was finally released from Tihar Jail today after almost 17 months. The Supreme Court granted him conditional bail this morning. As soon as he came out of jail, Aam Aadmi Party leader Sisodia remembered the constitution maker Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar. He said, it is only because of Baba Saheb’s Constitution that I could come out of jail. Ever since the Supreme Court’s order came in the morning, every fiber of my body is feeling indebted to Baba Saheb. I am unable to understand how I will repay this debt of Baba Saheb.

Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh reached Tihar Jail to take Sisodia. A large number of Aam Aadmi Party workers and supporters were also present outside the jail. Addressing the supporters outside the jail, he said, this is a very emotional moment for everyone. The pain that I suffered in these 17 months, you all have also suffered it. I know that the number of people who love me in this country has increased manifold in these 17 months. Sisodia gave a new slogan during this time and said, ‘There is only one era of corruption, Kejriwal Kejriwal’. After this, Manish Sisodia left directly for Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s house.
Former Delhi Deputy CM Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on 26 February 2023 in the Delhi liquor policy scam case. Since then Sisodia was in jail. However, in the meantime, Sisodia appealed for bail several times from the lower court to the Supreme Court, but before today his petition was rejected every time. As per the order of the apex court, Sisodia filled a bond of Rs 10 lakh each in both the ED and CBI cases, after which he was released.
