Indian shooter Manu Bhaker, who won two bronze medals in the Paris Olympics, has not only brought glory to the country, but is also going to make a splash in the world of advertising. There is a huge demand for Manu Bhaker for advertisements of the country’s renowned brands. At least 40 brands have contacted Bhaker for advertisements. Due to this demand, Manu’s fees have also increased six to seven times. Till now her fee per endorsement was Rs 20-25 lakh.
Certainly, after winning the Olympics, Manu Bhaker is going to get a cash prize of lakhs and crores of rupees. Apart from this, how much she will earn from advertisements can be estimated only after she returns to India. Manu Bhaker has not yet returned to India from Paris, but her management company has received more than 40 offers for advertisements ranging from e-commerce to skincare products.
On how Manu will handle so much fame and money, she says, ‘I don’t know how to handle all this (fame and money). I think I will just stick to my shooting and other routines around it. Accept what God gives you and try to help people with what you have.’
Speaking to PTI, Manu Bhaker said, ‘Right now I just want to eat a variety of Indian dishes for the next three months. I don’t think Jaspal sir will let me sleep till late in the morning. I will eat a lot but will also make sure that I workout.’
Nirav Tomar, CEO and MD of IOS Sports and Entertainment, which manages Manu Bhaker, told the Times of India that he has been contacted by around 40 companies in the last 2-3 days.
Neerav Tomar said that Manu Bhaker’s brand value has definitely increased five to six times. Till now her brand value was around Rs 20-25 lakh. Now it has gone up to the range of around Rs 1.5 crore for an advertising deal.
