manu bhaker
Olympics 2024 has given a new identity to Manu Bhaker. Manu won two bronze medals, bringing glory to India in the Olympics. She has won medals in the 10m air pistol single and mixed team events, but she missed out on winning a medal in the 25m pistol event and finished fourth. In this way, she missed out on a hat-trick of medals in the same Olympics. Indian shooting star Manu Bhaker admitted on Saturday that she was a little nervous during the final of the 25m pistol event. Due to which she missed the medal.
What did Manu Bhaker say?
“I was really nervous about it, but again, I was trying my best to stay calm and do my best. But it wasn’t enough,” Manu said after missing out on her third medal at the Olympics. Manu looked disappointed after she shot 28 in the eight-shooter final but lost to bronze medallist Veronica Major of Hungary in a shoot-off. “The Olympics were great for me, but there’s always a next time so I’m already looking forward to the next one. I’m happy that I got two medals,” she said. Well, fourth place is not a very good place to be, a teary-eyed Manu said.
Manu is away from the phone
Manu said that she was not distracted by all the expectations around her and had completely switched off. She said, “To be honest, I have been off social media and I am not checking my phone, so I don’t know what is happening. But all I know is that I was trying my best and trying to perform well.” Manu now has her eyes set on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. She said that she was able to perform well in most of the events. The moment her match was over, she thought okay now next time. That is, Los Angeles Olympics.
