Indian The stock market closed with a good rise on Thursday. The Bombay Stock Exchange index Sensex closed at 79,246 with a gain of 0.73 percent i.e. 572.67 points. At the time of market closing, out of 30 Sensex stocks, 23 stocks were in the green mark and 7 stocks were in the red mark. Whereas, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty closed at 24,071 today with a gain of 0.85 percent i.e. 203 points. At the time of market closing, out of 50 Nifty stocks, 41 stocks were in the green mark, 8 stocks were in the red mark and 1 stock was unchanged.

The biggest gainers in the Nifty pack were UltraTech Cement (5.26%), NTPC (4.01%), LTI Mindtree (3.60%), Wipro (3.06%) and Grasim (2.81%). The biggest losers were Larsen & Toubro (1.14%), Shriram Finance (0.97%), Eicher Motors (0.66%), Divis Lab (0.61%) and Bajaj Auto (0.50%).
Status of sectoral indices
Talking about sectoral indices, the highest gain was recorded in Nifty IT at 2.03 percent. Apart from this, Nifty Auto recorded 0.69 percent, Nifty Financial Services 0.14 percent, Nifty FMCG 0.36 percent, Nifty Metal 0.55 percent, Nifty Private Bank 0.13 percent and Nifty Healthcare recorded 0.40 percent. On the other hand, the highest decline was recorded in Nifty Media at 1.35 percent.
Reliance shares at all time high
The stock of Reliance Industries is witnessing a steady rise. Today, this stock has made a new all-time high. On Thursday, the stock of Reliance Industries closed at Rs 3062.25 with a gain of 1.15 percent or Rs 34.85 on the Bombay Stock Exchange. During trading, this stock went up to a maximum of Rs 3075, which is a new all-time high for this stock. The company’s market cap on BSE today closed at Rs 20,71,827.31 crore.
