Maruti Suzuki has finally made an official announcement of its name by removing the curtain from the name of its new compact SUV, ending the wait of the people. The compact SUV that the company is going to launch on July 20 has been named Maruti Grand Vitara.
Along with announcing the name, the company has also officially started the pre-bookings of this compact SUV. Customers can book it by visiting the company’s official website or by visiting their nearest Nexa showroom. The company has fixed a token amount of Rs 11,000 for its pre-booking.
Talking about the engine and transmission of Maruti Grand Vitara, according to reports, the company is going to give a four-cylinder 1.5 liter K15C dual jet engine with mild technology.
A 177.6V Lithium Ion battery pack can be given with this engine, which can give this SUV a driving range of 25 to 30 km in case of exhaustion of fuel.
With this engine, the company can offer the option of 5 speed manual gearbox and 6 speed CVT (with paddle shifters). In which 2WD and 4WD configuration is likely to be given.
Talking about the features of Maruti Grand Vitara, the company will include a large 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connectivity of Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 360 degree view camera, voice command, electric sunroof, head up display, cruiser control, automatic climate control, Features like semi-digital instrument cluster, will be given.
Talking about the safety features of Maruti Grand Vitara, many more safety features like six airbags, hill hold assist, speed alert, six airbags, cornering braking system, anti-lock braking system, EBD, can be given in it.
The company has not made any official announcement about the price yet, but according to the reports, this Grand Vitara is going to be the most expensive SUV of Maruti Suzuki so far, whose starting price can be between Rs 18 to 20 lakhs.
After entering the market, this Maruti Grand Vitara is expected to compete with cars like Hyundai Creta, Nissan Magnite, Kia Seltos, Mahindra XUV300, Tata Punch, etc.
