According to reports, pre-booking has also started at many Maruti Suzuki dealerships for this compact SUV to be launched on July 20 and a token amount of Rs 11,000 is being charged for this. But no official statement has come from the company regarding its pre-booking.
The compact SUV that Maruti Suzuki is about to launch is being developed in collaboration with Toyota and according to reports, the company can introduce this compact SUV in the name of Maruti Vitara.
According to reports, Maruti Suzuki is building this compact SUV on the same platform on which Toyota has prepared the Urban Cruiser. From the design to the features and specifications of this SUV, it will be mostly similar to Toyota Urban Cruiser.
The company is going to launch the Maruti Vitara on July 20, which will not only replace the S-Cross but will also compete directly with the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Skoda Kushak and Volkswagen Taigun.
Talking about the engine and power of Maruti Vitara, which will be launched on July 20, according to reports, the company is going to give the same engine in this SUV which has been given in Toyota Urban Cruiser High Rider.
That is, a 1.5-litre hybrid engine will be given in Maruti Vitara which generates power of 113 bhp and torque of 141 Nm. The option of manual and automatic gearbox will be given with this engine.
This gearbox can be mated to a lithium-ion battery pack of 177.6V capacity, which can give a range of 25 to 30 km in case of petrol exhaust.
The company has not yet given any official information regarding the price of Maruti Vitara, but according to reports, Maruti can launch this SUV in the market with a starting price of Rs 15 to 18 lakhs, which is also Maruti’s most expensive SUV till date. Might be possible.
