Instead, she will focus her attention on the Commonwealth Games. The 39-year-old Mary Kom is a six-time World Championship and one-time Asian Games gold medalist. He is the current champion at the Commonwealth Games to be held in Birmingham from 28 July.

World Championship to be held in May
Let us tell you that the World Championship was to be held in December last. However, it will now be held in Turkey in May. Meanwhile, the Asian Games in Hangzhou, China, are expected to begin barely a month after the Commonwealth Games ended. The selection trials for all the 12 categories of the World Championships will begin on Monday.
