Manila: Panic has spread due to a massive fire in a crowded area of the Philippines capital Manila. This fire broke out in a small building in the Chinatown district on Friday. It is being told that at least 11 people died after being caught in the fire. Many people are also reported to be injured. However, the exact number of injured is not yet known. But the police have confirmed the death of 11 people. Relief and rescue teams reached the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Police said investigations were underway to ascertain the cause of the fire. Around 14 fire trucks struggled for more than two hours to control the blaze. The fire broke out in an old five-storey building in one of the oldest Chinatowns in the world. It is a densely populated part of the capital located on the riverbank. Therefore, firefighters also faced a lot of difficulties while carrying out relief and rescue operations.

The fire broke out in a restaurant in a 5-storey old building in Chinatown. The fire took a fierce form and its flames reached the upper floors. Fire investigator Roderick Andres said that the fire broke out in a restaurant on the ground floor and many employees were also among the dead.
