new Delhi . Responding to Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s invitation to visit Beijing, National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval on Friday said he may visit the neighboring country after the border issues are resolved. Sources gave this information.
Earlier on Friday, Wang had met Doval at his South Block office.
This is the first visit by a high-level Chinese diplomat to India since the border dispute in eastern Ladakh two years ago.
So far 15 rounds of military talks have taken place to resolve the issue.
After meeting Doval, Wang called on Foreign Minister S. Had bilateral talks with Jaishankar.
The Chinese Foreign Minister’s visit to Delhi is part of his South Asia tour, under which he visited Kabul and Pakistan, where he raised the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
During the Organization of Islamic Cooperation meeting in Islamabad, Wang said: “On Kashmir, we have again heard the call of many of our Islamic friends today and China shares the same hope.”
However, India rejected the ‘unnecessary reference’ to Kashmir.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Arindam Bagchi said on Wednesday, “The matters relating to the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir are entirely internal matters of India. Other countries, including China, have no right to comment.”
Later on Friday, Wang will travel to Nepal on a three-day visit.
