New Delhi. The case of gang rape of a minor girl by a SP leader and his close aide in Ayodhya has now gained momentum. In this case, BSP supremo Mayawati justified the action being taken by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and said, it would be better if the government takes strict steps to prevent this by rising above caste, community and politics. Along with this, she has targeted Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav on his statement regarding DNA test and has questioned him in a counter attack.
Mayawati wrote on a social media post, the strict action being taken by the UP government against the accused in the Ayodhya gangrape case is appropriate, but what should be understood by Samajwadi Party saying that the DNA test of the accused should be done. Whereas SP should also tell how many DNA tests have been done against such accused in their government? The BSP supremo further said, the incidents of Ayodhya and Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar etc. are very sad and worrying amidst the growing concerns about crime control and law and order in UP, especially about women’s safety and harassment etc. It would be better if the government takes strict steps to prevent these by rising above caste-community and politics.
Earlier, Akhilesh Yadav had written on a social media post, the way for justice should be found by conducting DNA tests of those accused in the case of misdeed, and not by merely making allegations and doing politics. Whoever is guilty should be given full punishment according to the law, but if the allegations are proved false after the DNA test, then the government officials involved should also not be spared. This is the demand of justice. Let us tell you that apart from arresting both the accused in the Ayodhya gang rape case, a case has also been registered against two other SP leaders. Apart from this, the bakery of the main accused Moeed Khan has been sealed and demolished.
