Lucknow. BSP supremo and former UP CM Mayawati has once again targeted Samajwadi Party president and MP Akhilesh Yadav. Mayawati has targeted Akhilesh Yadav for choosing Mata Prasad Pandey as the leader of opposition in the UP assembly. Targeting Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati has alleged that he misled the backward, Dalit and minority.
Mayawati has written in a post on X that the SP chief took votes of PDA (backward, dalit, minority) by misleading them in the Lok Sabha elections, especially in the guise of saving the constitution, but ignored these sections in making the leader of opposition in the UP assembly. Mayawati has also written that there is no place for other PDAs except a particular caste in SP. Mayawati has also written that there is absolutely no place for Brahmin community in SP. Giving the reason for this, Mayawati said that it is not hidden from anyone that Brahmins were ignored and harassed in the BJP government with SP. Mayawati has written while cautioning the Brahmins that the development and upliftment of this community has happened only in the BSP government.

Let us tell you that in the year 2007, when Mayawati fielded candidates in the UP assembly elections, she gave tickets to many Brahmins. Many Brahmins were elected on BSP tickets. At that time, Mayawati also gave the slogan ‘Brahmin Shankh Bajega, Hathi Chalte Jayega’. There are about 10 percent Brahmin voters in UP. Akhilesh has got the seat of Leader of Opposition in the UP Assembly in place of himself to Itwa’s veteran MLA Mata Prasad Pandey. It is believed that Akhilesh Yadav has taken this political step to bring the Brahmin vote in favor of SP in the 2027 UP assembly elections.
