Hanumangarh. A meeting of district level officials was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of District Collector Kana Ram regarding the seriousness of the summer season, the upcoming cannarbandi, drinking water supply, prevention from heatwee and crop purchase on minimum support price (MSP). The collector said that SDM should inspect at the gram panchayat level, go to the houses of the last end and check the water pressure and share the report of inspection. Also, instructions were also given to ensure water system in birds and hospitals in bus stands and hospitals, birds in government offices and water system in johns and animal sports.
Strong management for summer drinking water supply
Superintendent Engineer Vijay Verma of Public Health Engineering Department said that 5 of the 7 urban areas of the district are benefited from the drinking water of Indira Gandhi Canal System, while Tibbi is based on ground water. At present, water is being supplied in 5 cities at an interval of 24 hours and 48 hours in Nohar and Rawatsar. 1323 villages in rural areas are connected to 308 water schemes, in which water is being supplied as per demand.
Partial in the district is proposed from 25 March to 23 April and complete canalbandi from 24 April to 23 May. During this time the required drainage has been completed. The plans of Nohar and Bhadra associated with Bhakra Canal System will also be full cannibal from March 25 to May 15. The work order has been issued after completing the tender process for water transport. The control room (01552-260553) has been established for quick resolution of drinking water complaints.
Health department alert to deal with heatwave
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Navneet Sharma informed that arrangements have been made for training, bed reservation, cooler-pavements, medicines and emergency kits at all health centers. Medical officers have been banned to inspect the NREGA site, schools, brick kilns and rain shelters. To make the common man aware, publicity is also being done through social media. The ambulance staff has also been instructed to keep training in Tako Method and Ice Pack Box.
Instructions for monitoring crop purchase on MSP
Crops are being procured at MSP at 58 purchasing centers in the district. The Collector directed that Tehsildar and Naib Tehsildar conduct weekly inspection. All centers have adequate arrangements for CCTV, shadow and water. Duty of Patwari and Agricultural Supervisors should be installed on rotation basis and the lifting of the crop should be ensured correctly. Block level officers attended the meeting through virtual medium.
