1. Vitamin A- Men need Vitamin A more than women. According to Harvard School of Health, women need 700 micrograms of vitamin A a day to stay healthy, while men need 900 micrograms. Vitamin A is necessary to strengthen bones. Apart from this, it increases the production of white blood cells. It is also very important for eyesight. For Vitamin A, you should consume green leafy vegetables, fruits, carrots, tomatoes, mango, capsicum, milk, curd, eggs etc.
2. Vitamin B1- It is also called thiamine. Vitamin B1 participates in the function of cells and helps in producing energy. This boosts the brain and also protects the heart. An adult woman needs 1.1 mg of vitamin A a day. An adult male needs 1.2 mg of Vitamin A in a day. For Vitamin A, grains, meat, fish, beans, lentils, green peas, buttermilk, seeds etc. should be consumed.
3. Vitamin B2- A woman needs 1.1 mg of Vitamin B2 i.e. riboflavin in a day. At the same time, a man needs 1.3 mg of Vitamin B2 in a day. To get complete dose of Vitamin B2, you should consume dairy products, eggs, buttermilk, meat, fish, almonds, green vegetables, spinach etc. regularly. If there is deficiency of Vitamin B2 for a long time, it also increases the risk of heart disease and cancer.
4. Vitamin B3-Vitamin B3 works like an enzyme in the body. This helps 400 enzymes. Vitamin B3 helps in producing energy, cholesterol and fat. A woman needs 14 mg of vitamin B3 a day. Whereas a man needs 16 mg of Vitamin B3 in a day. Meat, fish, brown rice, grains, nuts, seeds, legumes and bananas contain plenty of Vitamin B3.
5. Vitamin C-If there is deficiency of Vitamin C in the body, then many types of infections enter the body. Vitamin C boosts immunity i.e. gives strength to the body to fight. Apart from this, it helps in many functions of the body. A woman needs 75 mg of Vitamin C in a day, while a man needs 90 mg of Vitamin C in a day. But if you smoke, you will need 35 mg more vitamin C. Vitamin C requires citrus fruits i.e. sweet and sour fruits like orange, kiwi, lemon, grapes, grapefruit, pineapple. Apart from this, capsicum, tomato, cauliflower, potato etc. also contain Vitamin C.
