New Delhi: Amidst the excitement of Lok Sabha elections 2024, PM Modi has got a clean chit from the Election Commission. The first decision of the Election Commission has come in the complaint of Model Code of Conduct (MCC) violation against PM Modi. According to sources, the Election Commission believes that the mention of Ram Temple and Kartarpur Corridor in the Pilibhit rally of UP is not a violation of the election code of conduct.
Sources said that the Election Commission gave its verdict in the first case of model code of conduct violation against PM Modi. The Election Commission said that it does not consider the mention of construction of Ram temple as an appeal for votes on the basis of religion. The Election Commission may soon send a reply to the complainant lawyer Anand Jondale.
According to sources, the Election Commission believes that Prime Minister Modi was referring to the achievements of his government and his statement does not promote any kind of bitterness. It is important to mention here that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had mentioned the development of Ram Temple construction and Kartapur Corridor in the rally in Pilibhit. In the rally in Pilibhit, Prime Minister Modi had attacked Congress and Samajwadi Party over the construction of Ram temple.
