According to the Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in Sirsa, Haryana was recorded at 47.8 degrees Celsius. Which was the hottest place in the country. At the same time, a temperature of 47.2 degrees was recorded in Pilani, Rajasthan. Whereas in Punjab’s Bhatintha and UP’s Agra a temperature of 46.6 degrees was recorded. Apart from this, the temperature is being recorded between 42 to 45 degrees in Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Odisha.

The weather department said there is no hope of respite from the heat in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat and north-west Madhya Pradesh during the next five days. The weather office has issued a red alert for these states. The maximum temperature remained above 45 degrees Celsius in many parts of Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi, Chandigarh and Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, affecting daily life and many people preferred to stay indoors in the afternoon.
