Kolkata . Bharatiya Janata Party leader and veteran actor Mithun Chakraborty has given a big statement about the West Bengal Police. He is described as ‘spectacle’. Talking to , he said that the situation in the state is very worrying and the police are returning to see the spectacle by putting a chair.
Mithun Chakraborty questioned the functioning of the Bengal Police. He said, “The police only comes to see the” function “. Where the riots are taking place, they see the spectacle by putting a chair and then goes back quietly. He said that the role of the police is no longer to handle law and order, but has become a mute spectator.”
In a special interview with , Mithun made the state government’s attitude in the dock. He said, “He said on the violence in Murshidabad, West Bengal on the Waqf law, that Hindus are being targeted by selectively. The lands which are being described as Waqf property in the name of Muslim society, have been captured by the leaders. Somewhere they made a godown, hired, and that money is living a life of comfort with that money, if some parts of Muslim brothers or sisters are found, if some parts are found, if some parts are found. There was no problem. But nothing like this is happening that the common Hindu families are becoming homeless, and are eating khichdi in transit camps.
Claimed, “If the Chief Minister wants, violence can be controlled in a day. But it is not being done because it is not being done because with the help of the people with which the government is formed, efforts are being made to keep them satisfied. Now in Bengal, people of Sanatani, Sikh and Christian community do not vote for Trinamools, so keeping their ‘vote bank’, there is no strict action against criminals, there is no tough action against criminals. Dadagiri is dominated and there is an atmosphere of unannounced fear everywhere.
When Mithun was asked if President’s rule should be imposed in Bengal, he agreed that if such a situation continues, then President’s rule would have to be imposed. He appealed to the Home Minister that the army should be deployed in the state at least two months before the election, so that fair elections could be held. Mithun also said that even after the election results, the presence of the army is necessary, because if the current government wins again, the violence may begin once again.
