Rizwan scored the slowest half-century in World Cup history
In this match, the Pakistan team came on the field with a new opening pair in which Saim Ayub was sent along with Mohammad Rizwan. However, at the score of 20, the team got the first setback in the form of Ayub who was dismissed after scoring 6 runs in 12 balls. At the same time, Mohammad Rizwan got the support of captain Babar Azam and both of them batted carefully and took the team towards victory. A partnership of 63 runs was seen between the two for the second wicket. After Babar returned to the pavilion, Rizwan took the responsibility of finishing the match and returned after giving the team a 7-wicket win in this match. During this, Rizwan also completed his half-century which came in 52 balls. This was the second time in the history of T20 World Cup when a batsman has faced 50 or more balls to score 50 runs. Earlier, the record for scoring the slowest half-century in the history of T20 World Cup was in the name of David Miller, who completed his half-century in 50 balls in the match against Netherlands in the same tournament.
