The division level Taekwondo women’s competition allotted by Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya was successfully completed. 80 participants from Khandwa, Pandhana, Jhabua, Dhar, Mhow, Indore of Indore division participated in the competition. The competition was played in knockout mode. There was an excellent performance by the women participants. Pranjali Bairagi 46 kg, Holkar Science College stood first in the group of competition. Monika Deora, Utidi stood first in the 49 kg weight group. Ashmi Srivastava UTD in 53 kg weight group, Poorvi Arya, UTD in 57 kg weight group, Yashasvi Yadav UTD in 62 kg weight group, Kriti Soni in 67 kg weight group, Government Holkar Science College, Bharti Sain, Vidyasagar in 67 kg weight group College, in the weight group of 73 kg, players of Shri Vaishnav Prabandhan Sansthan, Vani Sharma etc. secured first position and made their place in the team of Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya. The winning players will represent Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya in the upcoming All India Vishwa Vidyalaya Taekwondo Women’s Competition to be organized by Kurukshetra Vishwavidyalaya from 14th to 17th March 2022. Director of the Institute Dr. George Thomas and Head of Computer Science Dr. Kshama Paithankar and Head of Management Dr. Abhijit Chatterjee were present in the prize distribution ceremony of the competition. The competition was organized in the hospitality of Mr. Prashant Mahant, President, District Taekwondo Association and President and Dr. Raghav Jaiswal. The program was conducted by Vaibhav Jain, an MBA student and the sports officer Shri Balwant Sanluke expressed his sincere gratitude to the guests and the people present.
