The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared monkeypox as an emergency and has asked all countries to be vigilant, calling it contagious. So far this year, 14000 monkeypox patients have been found in Congo. More than 500 people have lost their lives due to this disease.

According to medical experts, monkeypox is not as deadly as corona, but it definitely takes the lives of some people. Especially those people who are suffering from some other deadly disease, their life remains in danger due to monkeypox. Monkeypox disease was first identified in 1958. This disease is caused by the orthopox virus. In this disease also, pus-filled rashes like chickenpox appear on the body, but their size is bigger. In some people, the appearance of the face has also been seen changing due to monkeypox.
Mainly this disease has been seen spreading through infectious person and rats and other animals. To avoid monkeypox, one should wash hands frequently and stop rats and other animals from entering the house. One also needs to stay away from stray dogs. They also become carriers of monkeypox. Apart from this, if there is a patient infected with monkeypox in the house, then all other people should stay away from him and use a mask. Symptoms of monkeypox appear in a person within 5 to 20 days of infection. A patient suffering from monkeypox has high fever, body pain and red and watery eyes.
