This year the monsoon is arriving before time
Every year, the monsoon arrives in the country in June and covers the entire country around 15 July. The monsoon first enters the country via Andaman and Nicobar by 22 May and reaches Kerala on 1 June, but this time the monsoon has arrived in Andaman and Nicobar before time, three days before the normal, on 19 May. After that, it is its turn to reach Kerala. Talking about Kerala, the normal date for the monsoon to enter here is 1 June, but this time the monsoon is entering Kerala on 30 May.

IMD had already said that pre-monsoon rains are happening in Kerala and soon the monsoon will also arrive here. The Meteorological Department has today issued a red alert for rain in Kottayam and Ernakulam districts of Kerala and an orange alert for rain in three other districts. Reason for the early arrival of monsoon
