Sanjay Roy, accused of raping and murdering a lady doctor at Kolkata’s government RG Kar Hospital, is in police custody. The CBI is continuously interrogating him and is trying to connect all the links of his crime. Meanwhile, Sanjay Roy’s family has given a big statement. In an exclusive conversation with AnyTV India, Sanjay Roy’s mother has revealed his entire story. AnyTV India also spoke to his sister, who has demanded death penalty for her brother.
Sanjay Roy’s mother admitted that her son was addicted to alcohol. However, she says that she had stopped Sanjay, but he did not listen. When asked about Sanjay’s four marriages, she said that she knows about only one marriage. She says, ‘I know of one wife, who died of cancer. After her death (Sanjay) started drinking more.’

Along with this, she told that Sanjay had told her that he was in the police. Actually he was a civic volunteer, which the local people also call civic police. On being asked about the day of the incident, Sanjay’s mother says that ‘I do not know where he was and what happened. Whatever happened, he did it but what can I say now, I am a mother.’
Sanjay’s sister demanded death penalty
Sanjay’s sister says that whatever happened with the lady doctor was wrong. Along with this, she demands the harshest punishment for the culprit. She says, ‘I have been away from my family for 17 years. I used to see my mother and brother in the market once or twice. I came to know from the people around that he has joined the police. What he did should not happen to any girl. Whatever punishment the government and the police give, I accept it. Such a person should be punished.’
On the other hand, the accused Sanjay Roy has confessed his crime during interrogation. According to sources, the accused has told in his confession that he first strangled the lady doctor and kept pressing her till she became unconscious. Not only this, he also told during interrogation that he already knew that the doctor was alone in the seminar hall.
