‘Ram Rajya means that…’
On the Kumbhabhishekam puja at Sita Amman temple, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said, “It is a great occasion that the temple of Mother Sita has been rebuilt. Mother Sita is the epitome of compassion, motherhood and stamina. It is a historical place where the entire continent reveres.” How Sita Mata was here in Ashoka forest and she met Hanumanji, today we have Prasad from Sita’s birthplace Janakpuri, Shri Ram’s birthplace Ayodhya. This is a re-establishment of our ancient relationship between civilizations. We need to bring back those values which are eroding. Ram Rajya means living our life according to the laws of nature, harmony, prosperity and happiness.”
Sita Amman Temple, located in the quiet village of Sita Eliya, holds deep mythological significance as the alleged place, according to ancient legends, where Goddess Sita was held captive by Ravana.
