Bhopal, Navdunia Representative. No new scheme has been started in the budget in the field of health and medicine, but adequate budget has been kept for the old schemes. There is a provision of Rs 300 crore in the budget for opening nine new medical colleges in the state. An additional Rs 109 crore has been earmarked for increasing MBBS seats. There are 13 government medical colleges in the state at present, which will increase to 22 in the coming years. MBBS seats will increase to 3250 by 2035. Provision has also been made in the budget to increase the seats of B.Sc Nursing from 390 to 810.
There is a budget of 281 crores for mental health, prevention of hepatitis, dengue, malaria, filariasis and chikungunya.
National Health Mission: Rs 3600 crore has been earmarked for all programs including child health, maternal health, health and wellness center, which was Rs 3035 crore last year.
For the first time, a separate provision of Rs 201 crore has been made for mosquito-borne diseases like Dengue, Malaria, Zika etc.
923 crore has been made for grants under the 15th Finance Commission. This includes the opening of Sanjeevani Clinics, Urban Primary Health Centers as well as their operating expenses.
1180 crores have been earmarked for the construction of district hospitals and dispensaries, which was 1208 crores last year.
481 crore for sub health centers.
180 crores for construction of CHC, PHC, Sub Health Center buildings.
There are 833 crores for Ayushman Bharat scheme which was Rs 400 crores last year.
There will be an ambulance in every block for the treatment of animals
An ambulance will be run in each block for the treatment of sick animals. A veterinarian and aide will be deployed in this. He would go door to door to treat the animals. These ambulances will also have the necessary medical equipment. This scheme is being started in collaboration with the Centre. Apart from this, there is a provision of 720 crores for the intensive animal development scheme. This amount will be spent on increasing the number of improved milch animals.
