After the explosive innings of Suryakumar Yadav and the killer bowling of Jasprit Bumrah and Gerald Coetzee, Mumbai Indians registered their third win in IPL 2024 by defeating Punjab Kings by 9 runs in the last over. While Surya made a splash in batting, in bowling, Bumrah shattered Punjab’s morale by taking 2 wickets in a single over. Punjab team, which came to chase the target of 193 runs set by Mumbai, collapsed for 183 runs in 19.1 overs. For Mumbai, Jasprit Bumrah and Coetzee took three wickets each.

Akash Madhwal gave out LBW to Jitesh Sharma on the score of 9 runs. Bumrah completed his third victim by dismissing Shashank Singh. Shashank was caught by Tilak Verma on personal score of 41. Ashutosh Sharma was caught by Nabi on the personal score of 61 runs by Coetzee. Ashutosh Sharma made a partnership of 57 runs with Harpreet Brar.
