According to the instructions of Municipal Corporation Greater Commissioner Rukmani Riyad, a special campaign is being carried out to remove illegal hoardings, banners, posters in all zones of Municipal Corporation Greater from May 12, 2025. This campaign will be run continuously till 31 May 2025. Since May 12, more than 1200 illegal hoardings, banners, posters have been removed and more than 21 illegal structures have also been removed. Out of which 5 illegal structure by Jhotwara Zone, 4 illegal structure by Mansarovar Zone, 8 illegal structures by headquarters hoarding team were removed.
Commissioner Rukmani Riyad said that the Municipal Corporation misleads the illegal hoardings, banners, posters, cutouts in Greater Jurisdiction. Also, revenue income is also affected by applying it contrary to the rules. At the same time, encroachment is also encouraged. Therefore, illegal hoardings, banners, posters have been removed from time to time. At the zone level, a joint team of Revenue Officer, Revenue Inspector, Assistant Revenue Inspector and Chief Health Inspector of Zone, Health Inspector is constituted and continuous action is being taken on illegal hoardings, banners, posters. As part of the special campaign, more than 1200 illegal hoardings, banners, posters, cutouts as well as more than 21 illegal structures have been removed from May 12.
Along with this, the illegal hoarding structure of iron on the roads, intersections, tiraha, pavement is being seized by teams. Along with this, apart from advertisements approved by the Municipal Corporation Greater on electric poles, the illegal banners on electric poles, after removing the poster are also being completely removed. Deputy Commissioner Revenue (First) Ashok Kumar Sharma informed that action is also being taken by the hoarding branch of the headquarters to remove illegal hoardings, banners, posters. During the campaign, illegal hoardings, banners, posters on the main VIP routes and main routes are being removed by the team.
