Mumbai . A meeting was held on Wednesday at the mosque in Malegaon, Maharashtra amid the ongoing political debate over the Waqf Amendment Act. The meeting was called by the All India Muslim Personal Board, in which Muslim Maulanas participated and strongly opposed the law. Those attending the meeting said that we cannot accept any such law at any cost, so that the property of Waqf is damaged.
All India Muslim Personal Law Board Secretary Maulana Umran Mahfooz Rahmani gave complete information about this meeting. He had said in a conversation with the media that Waqf Amendment Act threatened Waqf’s property. Therefore, there is a demand from our government that it should be withdrawn. We cannot accept such law at any cost at any cost.
Describing the Waqf Amendment Act as arbitrariness of the Central Government, he said that the Muslim of this country is not afraid of anyone. If the government feels that a Muslim is afraid, then I want to make one thing clear that the Muslim of this country does not know to fear anyone.
He said that you should also remember that a Muslim is not a community that will be afraid of your threats. Threatened those who know how to fear. The Muslim picks himself up with fear and fear and keeps his beloved on Allah, so you do not scare us. If you scare us, I want to make one thing clear that your bullets will fall short, but our chests will not be less. We will sacrifice and reach our floors.
He said that although this law was enacted in 1995, which we also welcome, but now the way it has been amended, we cannot accept it. We demand to withdraw it.
He further said that we have a democratic right to harm us, we should raise voice against it and we are currently doing the same and will continue to do the same until this law is withdrawn.
He said that due to the Waqf law, many types of miseries can be created, in view of which we are opposing it.
He said that in today’s meeting, we have issued guidelines for Muslims of the entire country to unite and protest this law. Our meeting has been meaningful. Many people participated in it, which makes it clear that people are unhappy about this law.
He said that we will continue to raise their voice against Waqf. In the coming days, we will perform many small and big programs in protest against this law and will unite the people of the Muslim community in protest against this law and tell them how it can harm them. We will unite the people of our community regarding this law and appeal to them to raise their voice against it.
Maulana further said that later we will take the support of the law. We will knock the door of the courts. But, we also have many other options, which we will also use in the coming days.
